Vinjoy Foundation offers the Certificate of Higher Education in Communicative Mediation, being the only Educational Centre in Asturias to offer such studies.
The Communicative Mediator´s role is characterized by his closeness, ability to adapt to different situations, empathy, familiarity and motivation in favour of communication and the development of social skills which make the human being socially active.
With this Certificate, a new professional body is created. Its employability is guaranteed by the social evolution in the recognition of those rights belonging to people with impairment or difficulties in communication, language and speaking, giving birth to a new niche of employment which will enhance the attention given to this group of people.
This Certificate of Higher Education is set up with the Education and Culture Department in the Principality of Asturias, it is free for students, who only need to pay 1.12 euros a year for school insurance.
GENERAL COMPETENCE
The general competence in this certificate is to develop communicative mediation interventions for deaf or deaf-blind people and for those with a hearing impairment who use Spanish Sign Language, or those who have some kind of difficulty when communicating, with language and speak; and also promotion programmes, addressed to deaf and deaf-blind people who use Spanish Sign Language, and social awareness, always respecting the idiosyncrasy of the users.
COMPETENCE UNITIES
- UC1437_3: Use the Spanish sign language for the exercise of their functions.
- UC1447_3: Advise and sensitize individuals, groups and institutions about the deaf community.
- UC0252_3: Program, organize and evaluate social integration interventions.
- UC1023_3: Intervene, support and accompany in the creation and development of the associative fabric.
- UC1437_3: Use the Spanish sign language for the exercise of their functions.
- UC1438_3: Use specific communication support systems and resources for deafblind people and sighted guide techniques.
- UC1439_3: Participate in the development of educational and training programs for deafblind people.
- UC1440_3: Carry out interventions aimed at alleviating situations of isolation in deafblind people.
- UC1441_3: Facilitate the interaction of the deafblind person with their environment to carry out basic procedures.
- UC1026_3: Incorporate the gender perspective in social intervention projects.
- UC0254_3: Establish, adapt and apply alternative communication systems.

- DNI photocopy/passport, NIE
- Photocopy of the Degrees you have and present it for admission (High Degree Academic Certification, Pre-U Course Certification, Intermediate Vocational Training Cycle Certification, High Education Vocational Training Cycle Certification, University Degree, Validated Studies or entry exams).
- If you are going for the vacancies reserved for people with disabilities or those for elite athletes, this condition must be proved with a certificate.
