The Institute is the Center for Child Development and Specialized Early Attention for Deafness and Hearing Loss in Asturias.

IATYS

INSTITUTE OF EARLY CARE AND TRACING

The Institute for Early Attention and Follow-up is a Center integrated into the Child Hearing Deficit Attention Program of the Health Council of the Principality of Asturias, which deals with the rehabilitation of minors with Hearing Deficit.

Likewise, it is linked to the Early Attention Units (Social Welfare Council) and the Education Council (Child Care Program at School).

The Institute for Early Attention and Follow-up has been an operational reality since May 2002, being one of the national benchmarks in its field of action.

Research and execution of technical resources are also incorporated to the daily work in the Institute.

As a supplementary and secondary activity, IATYS occasionally assists children with other problems that are connected to communication and which require a highly-specialised intervention.
