Social commitment is the reason for being, the sense and the fundamental constant of this entity.
Approaching the Vinjoy Foundation, its history and present, means being immersed in an institution defined in practice by three essential characteristics: social commitment, advanced socio-educational intervention and for being an Asturian entity.
The activity of the Foundation has always been linked to the groups and situations that required and require solidarity social action.
It was, in its previous times, the Orphan Asylum, the College for the Deaf and the Resource Center for Comprehensive Deafness Intervention.
Currently, its General Intervention Project includes, in addition to Comprehensive Intervention in Deafness, where it is a national reference, Intervention in Intellectual Disability and Intervention in groups in serious social and personal conflict.
The second characteristic is the option for an advanced socio-educational intervention, acting as an effective response to social needs.
Finally, the third essential characteristic is its condition of being known as a social institution of Asturias, recognized and loved by this people. At present this historical social recognition is maintained, largely due to the results obtained and the work carried out in recent years.
