The Social and Educational Resources Center’s mission is to provide effective and quality responses to the needs of deaf people or people with hearing impairment in educational (from entering school to university studies) and social (especially in what is related to the fulfillment of basic rights and with the cases that present greater vulnerability).

ThIS Center, in addition to the Interpretation and Mediation Service, develops social and educational projects, and provides technical support and advice, in order to achieve the normalization of the people accompanied or supported, and from the approach of advanced socio-educational intervention.

The activity of the Center is carried out in an ordinary way in collaboration or coordination with the different Administrations of the Principality of Asturias (educational, social, health and labor system), both in the Autonomous Community and locally, with social entities and with the University of Oviedo.
